No petrol tax plans

WELLINGTON, March 3. The Government was unlikely to raise the price of petrol again to increase National Roads Board spending, the Acting Prime Minister (Mr Tizard) said today.
Mr Tizard said that al-j though strong representa- j tions had been made for! more roading finance, increasing the price of petrol to do this had been on the bottom of the list of suggestions.
