Lime works fatality

DUNEDIN, March 2
A youth died in Dunedin Public Hospital today of injuries suffered in an accident at the Makaeeao lime works on Friday morning. He was Rodney White, aged 22, a . mechanic, of Glenpark,
The ’accident occurred when the truck Mr White was driving slid backwards and overturned.
Store cleared. — The old Milne and Choyce store in Queen Street, Auckland, is bare after 250 employees completed the shift to their new premises in the downtown shopping complex on Saturday. The old building, occupied by the company since 1909, closed on Friday evening, and during the weekend was stripped of about slm worth of merchandise. —(P.A.).
