OBITUARY
Mr W. Tatterson Mr W. K. Tatterson. a successful trotting trainer and horseman, died in Christchurch last week. His greatest success was in 1948 when he trained and drove Emulous to win the Inter-Dominion Championship Grand Final at Alexandra Park. Ills son, R. L. Tatterson, produced Kotare Legend to run seventh in the Grand Final earlier in the month. Mr Tatterson trained at Rakala for many years, but more recently he had stables in the Addington area. He trained a small team, but had considerable success, particularly with Beau Clair, Gay Lad, and Omega. His last winners were Metroname and Walt Disney.
