Joint parks course
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 24. The New Zealand and Australian Governments would undertake a . joint international training course in national parks administration, said the Minister of Works (Mr Watt) today. Speaking at the opening of the South Pacific conference on national parks and reserves, Mr Watt said the course would begin in March, 1976, and wobld run for eight or nine weeks. Four of these would be spent in New Zealand and the rest in Australia. The course would be designed to explore alternative reserve and park systems “through their philosophy, organisation and development.” It would be designed for officers at a mid-management level, said Mr Watt.
