Triumph for Dalgety
The Ralth Memorial Stakes at Harold Park last Friday proved a triumph for the West Melton studmaster, J. S. Dalgety, who bred Milford Mary and Modest Miss, the winner and third placegetter respectively. Both fillies were sired by Dalgety's stallion, Out to Win. Milford Mary a 3 to 1 on favourite. Is out of Milford Nurse and she was purchased for $2BOO at tht 1973 yearling sales. Modest Miss Is out of Meadside. a member of the Purple Patch family. She won the Robin Dundee Stakes at Addington last May at her only start in New Zealand, after which she was purchased by Australian Interests.
