N.Z. HOCKEY TEAM WINS
(N.Z.P A.Reuter—Copyright > SINGAPORE. The New Zealand hockey team has beaten Singapore, 3-2, in a second match between the two in Singapore The first game ended in a scoreless draw. New Zealand’s goals in the second match were scored by Bruce Mellor (two) and Neil McLeod. The matches were in preparation for the World Cup tournament, which will begin in Malaysia on Saturday. In another fixture in Singapore, the Netherlands and India, the leading hockey nations, drew 1-1.
