Rail crash cause

Officials said that the failure of either train to halt at a siding to let the other pass apparentlv caused Norway’s worst rail accident last night, United Press International reported. Twenty seven were killed and 15 injured in the head-on collision of two express trains, police said. . The trains collided outside the village of Tretten, north of the ski resort of Lillehanrner.
