Town planning advice
Advice on how the public! can help in town planning: i is contained in a leaflet published by the Town and] Country Planning Division of j the Ministry of Works and Development, and available free from libraries and coun-i cil offices. The leaflet says that there .is more interest in the environment today than ever! before. People feel that they have a right to share in their community,! 'but few know how to “getj their ideas across,” to the i authorities. It suggests that people study the district scheme for their area, watch the public notices in newspapers, learn about town and country plan, ning and planning legislation, write letters to the local newspapers, councils, and appropriate Government departments, study local attii tudes and needs, and form , planning groups or associations.
