Application denied
The Supreme Court has not approved the application by Manawatu Knitting Mills, Ltd, for the use of share premiums for a tax free dividend. A dividend of 4c a share (8 per cent) has been approved. Steps are being taken to enable a future dividend to be paid tax-free.
Dom. Brew, calls 50c
Dominion Breweries, Ltd, has called 50c due on convertible notes, by March 15, to make the issue fully paid. Scrip will be issued immediately after payment.
