Trekking in Nepal IV
A visit to the famous Buddhist monastery at Thyangboche, a day's travel from the party's base at Khumjung, is described in this article, the last extract from “Trekker’s” diary. "Trekker” and four other trampers return to Khumjung while seven trampers, their Sherpa guides, and six yak head for higher altitudes. After the party has reassembled at Khumjung the trampers make their way down the Dudh Khosi vaßey to an airstrip at 10,000 feet for their return to Katmandu.
