WOOL GAINS AGAIN

Crossbred fleece prices at the Wellington sale today were about 21 per cent dearer than at the Timaru sale, and secondshear wool was in I sellers’ favour. Lambs’ wool was un-1 changed but oddments werej between 21 and 7 per cent; dearer, said the official re-1 port. The offering of 20,800 bales: was about 47 per cent ewe| fleece, 21 per cent lambs’, wool, 12 per cent second-1
shear, and the usual oddments. The wool was mostly of good length but showing teni demess and colour. , For the first time for some while, competition was very animated, the trade taking about 89 per cent and the rest going to the corporation. , The main buying strength i came from Eastern Europe (and the Continent.
