Pre-enrolment forms are no longer being accepted and students who have not pre-enrolled by the due date will be required to pay a fee of $lO when they enrol. 2. ENROLMENT FINE ARTS and ENGINEERING PROFESSIONAL students will be required to complete enrolment at specified times during the second wek of term, and they do not need to attend during enrolment week. If they have not pre-enrolled they should report to the appropriate office on the first day of term; those who have pre-enrolled should attena lectures as from Monday, March 3, the first day of term. ALL OTHER STUDENTS, except Ph.D. candidates, must attend during enrolment week at the times shown below. Students who have pre-enrolled but who have not completed enrolment by 5.30 on Friday, February 28. are liable for the late fee of $lO unless they can give in writing reasons for their late enrolment which are satisfactory to the Registrar. Students who attend to enrol on a day other than the correct one are liable to be refused enrolment until Tuesday, March 4. 4. FIRST YEAR STUDENTS Students enrolling at a New Zealand University for the first time MUST bring with them evidence, in writing, that they have either: •(i) Obtained the New Zealand University Entrance Certificate or (ii) Been granted admission “ad eundem” by the University Grants Committee or (iii) Been granted admission “ad eundem” by the University of Canterbury or (iv) Been granted “special admission” by the University of Canterbury or (v) Obtained the Fine Arts Preliminary Examination Certificate. 5. TRANSFERS FROM ANOTHER NEW ZEALAND UNIVERSITY Students transferring from another New Zealand University must apply to their former University to have their records transferred to the University of Canterbury. This must be done as soon as possible; the enrolment of such students is provisional until their records are in fact received by the Registrar and found to be satisfactory. Students who have been declined enrolment in a previous University or in any Department or Faculty of that University, or who are automatically prevented from re-enrolling, will not be enrolled at the University of Canterbury (Page 40. 1975 University Calendar).
