Detention order
A man who had pleaded iguilty to a charge of attempted unlawful sexual 1 intercourse with a girl, aged 'seven, was ordered by Mri Justice Macarthur in the Su-i ipreme Court yesterday to be detained in a mental hospital ■ ias a committed patient. The order, made underisection 39J of the Criminal! Justice Act, was against! ! Kenneth Robert Griffiths, ■ aged 31. a factory hand. Mt N. W. Williamson ap- ■ neared for the Crown and Mr P. G. S. Penlington for Griffiths. “It is clear from the medical reports that you are mentally disordered and that both in your own interests ■ and for the protection of the■public that you should be detained in a hospital," his i Honour told Griffiths. i J
