Fishermen on rampage

Press Assn—Copyright) PARIS, Feb. 21 [ Fishermen overturned fish trucks and blockaded Atlantic ports yesterday to protest against a financial squeeze that has caught them between rising prices and diminishing incomes. Nearly all maritime traffic was blocked. It was the third day of a spreading strike by shipowners and seamen. Delegations of fishermen went to Paris to see the Prime Minister (Mr Chirac) and the Transport Minister (Mr Marcel Cavaille) to plead for action.
All along the coast trawlers bobbed in the water at | the entry to Atlantic ports, halting traffic. I The blockades stopped I almost all ferries to Eng hand.
