New motel bookings
(from Our Own Reporter) NELSON. Feb. 21. Holders of bookings for • , the motels at Honeymoon Bay, Nelson, which have been bought by a local syndicate, will be invited to' reapply for holid--- dates. I Bookings had been made as! far ahead as 1977. Mr F. Baldwin, a Nelson land agent, said for the syndicate today that those; with bookings would be; advised by letter shortly j that their bookings had been) cancelled, but that a large percentage of the units; would be available when not required by. the new owners. | and that a. new application should be made through an agency to be opened soon. A few units at the bay are being offered for sale on a ‘ joint-ownership basis with a licence to occupy. Most are I fully equipped, and range in • price from $B5OO $<6,000. The syndicate had no plans to develop the property, said Mr Baldwin. The motels had been bought as own-your-own holiday cottages. The few not required would be sold.
