Libel writ $750,000

AUCKLAND, Feb. 20.
A defamation writ claiming $750,000 has been filed in the Auckland Supreme Court against the printed and publisher of the “Waikato Times,” Waikato-King Country Press, Ltd. Growth Properties Unlimited, of Auckland, is ! named as first plaintiff and is I claiming $500,000. The company’s promoter, Asset Fund Management, Ltd, is named as second plaintiff and is claiming $250,000 damages.
The claim relates to an article on home loan funds published in the “Waikato Times” earlier this month.
