( The gross charges at which the Department undertakes to give electrical supply are based on the ' rates in force from time to time, plus 15 cents in each complete dollar. DOMESTIC SUPPLY: Lighting, utility points, cooking, motors, controlled water heating installed in compliance with specifications and Hobby Pottery Kilns up to and including 5 kW per phase. (i) Private dwellings including flats and apartments, individually metered. 30 units per months at 3.29 c per unit. Balance units at 1.034 c per unit. (ii) Uncontrolled water heating. 2.2 c per unit separately metered. (iii) Flats and apartments, not individually metered. 1.24 c per unit, including controlled water heating. Minimum charge for (i), (ii) and (iii) above: 50c per month. NIGHT RATE (9.30 pun.-6.30 a.m.) Controlled: (No Minimum charge). 0.625 c per unit for any approved loads on application. NON-DOMESTIC: INTERMEDIATED RATE. Small registered hospitals and registered nursing homes, aged people’s homes, orphanages, unlicensed clubs, small suburban libraries (not commercial book clubs), schools, colleges and churches, and other approved organisations. (i) All units at 1.6537 c per unit, except: (ii) Cooking, metered separately 1.378 c per unit. (iii) Controlled Water Heating and space heating, metered separately: 1.378 c per unit. Minimum charge: 50c per month. (iv) Night Rate (9.30 p.m.-6.30 a.m.) Controlled: 0.625 c per unit. (No Minimum charge.) For any approved load on application. COMMERCIAL. Includes shops and offices, hotels, motels, camping ground, boarding houses with more than four boarders, unregistered nursing homes. Sports clubs letting premises for hire, licensed clubs. (i) Lighting and Heating: First 300 units per month at 4.079 c per unit. Balance at 3.4728 c per unit. Minimum: 75c per month. (ii) Bulk Rate: Applicable where there is combined wiring and metering, and where the connected load of motors, process heating and cooking exceeds 25 per cent of the total connected load. First 300 units per month at 4.079 c per unit. Balance at 3.0318 c per unit. Minimum: 75c per month. (iii) Space Heating: Unrestricted: Included in above rates. Controlled: 2.756 c per unit. Available for installations with an insta'led transformer capacity of not less than 500 kVA and an anticipated annual load factor of not less than 25 per cent. (a) $10.92 per kVA per quarter plus 0.9639 c per unit. (b) $10.92 per kVA per quarter plus 0.882 c per unit where not less than 20 per cent of the actual connected load may be subject to peak control. Where the installation is metered at 11. 000 volts a discount of li per cent will be allowed. Where the installation is - metered at 11.000 volts and the consumer provides the transformers a discount of 2| per cent will be allowed. (viii) Motels and Camping Grounds. (Lighting, heating, cooking and controlled water heating ) Assessed number of units at Commercial Rate (i). Balance at 1.6537 c per unit.
