Fiji for a period of three years. QUALIFICATIONS: Preferably an Advanced Trade Certificate in Refrigeration with from 7 to 10 years post-apprenticeship training. DUTIES: The mechanic would be attached to the Fisheries Division of the Fiji Ministry of Agriculture. Fisheries and Forests and would be required to service and carry out maintenance work on refrigeration plant and eouipment He would also be required to provide on the job training to local refrigeration mechanics. QUALIFICATIONS: A First-class Certificate in Marine Engineering with at least 10 years experience on marine diesel engines of various sizes. The engineer should be familiar with different kinds of power take-offs for fish haulers and other fishing vessels. DUTIES: The engineer would be attached to the Fisheries Division of the Fiji Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forests, and would be required to work mainly in a supervisory capacity as fleet engineer. He would also be required to assist in overhauling and repairing engines in a growing fisheries fleet and to supervise and teach counterpart engineers in the maintenance of marine engines.
