“The generally high degree !of activity in the New Zea-;; land economy, together with ; ; buoyant Australian tourist I; market, has allowed the i I company to show a reasonable growth of revenue over: I ithe previous year. 1 “The effect of inflation! : has also increased costs sub- ' stantially, but in spite of) this, the group as a whole!' has improved its position! over the comparative half)] year,” the directors say in!’ the half-yearly report. Group revenue for the six) months to November 30 in-) creased almost 34 per cent! I over the comparative period! lof last year.

Foriward bookings to the end of the financial year remain [consistently heavy. | “Revenue figures for the ; months since the half yearly [balance are close to budget, and every effort is being [made to control costs. It is, ! expeted that the profitability targets of the group will be realised,” the report says.
