Two share pro-am golf

The unattached Auckland professional, Alan Snape, and another Aucklander, Wayne Mclntosh, shared victory In the 36hole $lOOO pro-am tournament at the Nelson Golf Club yesterday. Snape and the 18-year-old Nelson professional, Peter Hamblett, were tied overnight with four-under 68s, but Hamblett’s game dropped away badly mid-way through the second round. His late run was not sufficient to overcome the steadiness of Snape and Mclntosh. A Nelson club amateur, John Betts, with net rounds of 71 and 71, won his section of the tournament.
