Racket uncovered
A huge cigarette-smuggling racket involving an estimated 7000 million lire (about sBm) has been uncovered in Genoa, Italy, after an investigation lasting almost a year. Seventeen people have been arrested and another 39 are still being sought in connection with the trafficking, which was uncovered by two Genoese magistrates, Mr Mario Sossi and Mr Giovanni Grillo. Mr Sossi was kidnapped in April by extreme Left-wing members of the Italian Red Brigade—Genoa.
