Tanker to sail
The crew of the tanker Hamilton, which has been held up at Lyttelton for three days because of the strike, returned to work last evening and the ship was expected to sail at 5 a.m. today.
It is believed the crews of the three tankers agreed last night to end their strike and accept settlement proposals worked out at a meeting of the Shipping Industry Tribunal during the day.
At Auckland the Erne is expected to sail at 9 a.m. today..
The other tanker is the Athelviscount which is at Bluff.
