STEAM PLANT SHIFT ENGINEER THE COMPANY: Is a rapidly expanding Pulp and Paper Mill in Kawerau, operating two tissue machines and a refiner groundwood pulp mill. A third high-speed tissue machine will be commencing production this year. Present staff 350. THE JOB: Responsibility for the sole charge of the steam plant on a continuous shift basis. The plant consists of an automatic oil-fired Foster Wheeler Boiler 250 P.S.I. 50.000 pounds per hour with a second unit to follow. Auxiliary equipment is a Patterson Candy demineralising feedwater plant, Ingersol Rand teed pump, steam and water deaerator. Foxoboro instrumentation and a condensate collecting storage system? Remote monitoring of the water treatment and effluent plants will also be under the control of the Shift engineer. THE MAN: Must have at least a third class engineers steam ticket or 2nd M.O.T. steam engineer's certificate.
