Interest rate cuts
Three of America’s largest commercial banks have lowered their prime lending rates to 9.5 per cent. The Bank of America, the largest, cuts its prime from 10 per cent to 9.5 per cent; First National Bank and Morgan Guarantee Trust lowered their primes from 9.75 per cent to 9.5 per cent.
