Search for escaper
(N.Z Press Association) NELSQN, January 27. The Nelson police are searching for an escaped prisoner from Ngawhatu Hospital. He is Mark Rayner Stubbs, aged 19, who was remanded to the hospital under section 398 of the Criminal Justice Act, for a psychiatric report. He was recently convicted on charges relating to numerous burglaries of chemists’ shops. Stubbs is sft 9|in. of medium build, and has a fresh complexion, with long fair hair and green eyes. He has moles on his face.
The spokesman said Stubbs was not considered dangerous.
