More diners wanted
The Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Society will benefit from proceeds of' the Meat Producers’ Board lamb presentation dinner at: the Russley Hotel on Feb-| ruary 7. The society’s president (Mr C. H. J. Curragh) said yesterday that ticket sales for the dinner were slow. “Many people are probably not aware of the opportunity to attend the dinner," he said. The dinner was arranged by the board as the Canterbury, Westland and Buller regional final of its New Zealand iamb dish contest. The contest will be judged on the dish and its presentation. Details of the dinner had been given to hotel managers and restaurateurs in the region, Mr Curragh said.
