Letter indication
Sir, — May I seek your help to improve commercial practice. Much loss of time and confusion — especially in bigger firms — is avoided if persons writing letters indicate the personal recipient by name or initials giving file numbers where these are invited. The other day an addressing client picked the wrong member of the firm, gave a box number with no mention of the city and six persons were disturbed before the proper recipient was found. — Yours etc., RE A. B. BROWN —LOST EWES— P.G.D. — W.T.-21. January 22, 1975.
