Wanganui wool steady
(N.Z. Prest Association) WANGANUI, January 13. Wool prices at Wanganui today were generally unchanged on the Invercargill sale of December 20.
But the Wool Commission bid on 80 per cent of the offering, and 54 per cent of the wool passed to it. The offering of 28,347 bales was mainly full-length fleece ana early-shear, with a percentage of lambs’ wool and the usual oddments. Competition was restricted, East and West Europe being the main buyers. Limited support came from New Zealand carpet mills on the small number of best coarse crossbred lines suitable for their requirements. RANGE OP PRICES Medium Crossbred. 46/50s:
