WARREN, County Chairman. 7005 RICCARTON BOROUGH COUNCIL BAN ON FIRES IN THE OPEN IN the interests of the protection of property and in co-operation with the Christchurch Metropolitan Fire Board the Riccarton Borough Council has imposed a total ban on the lighting of fires ' in the open in all parts of the Borough. The ban is effective as from Monday, January 6, 1975, until Friday, the 28th day of February, 1975, as such later time as may be notified before that date. Borough By-Law No. 1 Part 3 Section 88A excludes “Barbecues designed, constructed, and sited in accordance with approved specification and operated in an approved manner” from this ban.
