Travelodge, skippered by John Winning, won the interDominion 12ft skiff champion, ship when it won the final heat sailed off Clifton Gardens, Sydney. Travelodge won by only five seconds from Walpurgis Wrath (Phil Stevenson) with the New Zealand skiff P.G.H. (Robin Williams) 3mta 2sec away in third place. Travelodge finished the series on 7330 points with Freshwater Sails (Bruce Hewish) next on 6886 points and the N.S.W. junior champion, Jet Set (lain Murray) in third place with 5031 points. The best of the New Zealand team was Skullduggery (Alan Bennett) which finished in fourth place on 4774 points. The first heat winner. Allegro (John Faire) also from New Zealand, gained sixth place.
