Kiwis beaten in last over
(“The Press” Special Service) INVERELL.
The Canterbury Kiwis cricket team was bowling the last over and had only one wicket to take when Inverell passed its score of 175 in a 40-over match on Sunday. Earlier, Colin Stanbury (81) and Warren Eddington (30) had rescued the tourists with a fine partnership of 80 after the first eight wickets had fallen for 65. Stanbury completed an excellent double with three for 22 when the Australian side batted.
