More new lamb on market

There was a good demand for increased offerings of new season’s New Zealand lamb on the Smithfield market last week, the Meat Board reports. However, because of erratic availability, due to slow discharging from vessels, the price structure was more than usually sensitive to the supply-demand situation. It is expected that as increased supplies become available in the weeks ahead, a more stable price pattern will emerge at slightly lower levels than those at present.
