Julie Forbes disqualified
(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL. Julie Forbes, second past the post in the V. L. George Flying Pace at Invercargill on Saturday, was disqualified later. At an adjourned inquiry into the running of the event, in which an objection was lodged against the second placing being awarded to Julie Forbes for interference to King Suva and lan after about 300 metres, evidence was heard from the patrol stewards and the respective drivers, and the film was viewed. It was decided to disqualify Julie Forbes from second placing. with Mister Mark being promoted to second. Champion Rose to third, and Dundee Lad to fourth.
