Amalgamation issue

WELLINGTON,
The New Zealand Nurses Association and the New Zealand Student Nurses Association will vote on their amalgamation later this year, according to the “Evening Post” health reporter.
Both groups have talked about the proposal and think that amalgamation would provide a more unified voice for nurses and a more effective organisation.
The student nurses will hold a special meeting to discuss the matter this month, and members will vote at their annual conference in , July.
The Nurses’ Association will vote at its conference in April.
