"A Little Princess”

The New Zealand-born John Mcßae is the producer of a 8.8. C. version of the classic tale “A Little Princess,” by Frances Hodgson Burnett, adapted for television by Jeremy Paul.

It stars Deborah Makepeace as little Sara Crewe, who is left by her father to be educated at Mis<s Minchin’s Seminary for Young Ladies.

Unfortunately, her father dies soon afterwards, leaving Sara penniless. She is reduced to slave status at the seminary and unceremoniously bundled into the ratinfested attic which serves as servants’ quarters. Luckily, her friendship with one of the servants stands her in good stead. "A Little Princess,” a 8.8. C. production, will begin on Tuesday at 4.56 p.m.
