POLICE HUNT AT PORT
The police searched part of Lyttelton late last evening for a group of young men after a girl was hit on the head with a baseball bat.
The girl, who could give the police only brief details of the incident, was taken by ambulance to Christchurch Hospital about 10.30 p.m. The offenders are thought to have left in two cars. Policemen patrolled Lyttelton after the attack, and a watch was kept on the Lytteltop road tunnel exit.
