Mongolian allegations

The Chairman of the Mongolian Council of Minsters (Mr Tsedenbal), in an article printed by a Soviet journal, has accused Chinese (border troops of driving into ' Mongolian territory animals infected with contagious diseases.
Mr Tsedenbal also alleged that Chinese troops in *mall contingents regularly intruded up to 20 kilometres into Mongolian territory. The article, in the periodical, “Problems of the East,’’ appeared after reports, denied both in Peking and Moscow, that Russian and Chinese troops had clashed I on the 4700-kilometre Mong-olian-Chinese border. Allegations of frontier violation,-, I were first made by the Mongolians more than a year ago. Mr Tsedendal said the Chinese also began forest fires, and felled timber along the border.
