Cargo rate increase

AUCKLAND.
Importers and exporters using the Union Steam Ship Company’s roll-on vessels to send cargo between New Zealand and Australia can expect a slight increase in cargo charges from today. A spokesman for the company’s commercial division (Mr W. P. Bullock) said the increase resulted from a rise in wharfage rates in Melbourne.
