B.H.P. to make deb. issue
The Broken Hill Pro- : prietary Company, Ltd, I plans to offer to shareholders and debenture ' stock holders of the company an issue of Australian currency debenture ; stock. There will not be any specific or transferable rights attaching to the issue, and allotment will not be in proportion to holdings. The offer will be made during March, but the amount sought, and the terms of the issue will be announced before then. The proceeds of the issue will provide finance for the company’s current programme of development, j the costs of which are I being significantly affected by inflation, the company 1 says. The previous major capital-raising by the com- ; pany was in November 1971, when a s6om Australian debenture issue was made.
