NOON FORECAST

Situation: A complex depression over the south Tasman Sea is moving east slowly. A westerly airstream bringing showers is flowing over the Tasman Sea on to New Zealand. Forecast: Marlborough: North-wester-lies, strong and gusty at times; changeable with some heavy showers, and isolated thunderstorms this morning; fair intervals later and scattered showers; cool. Nelson: Fresh to strong north-westerlies; showers about the western ranges,

with scattered thunden storms and hail; shower!

spreading east at times but long fair periods; coo, Buller and Westland: North westerlies, fresh and gustj at times; cold and show: ery, with thunderstorms and haig fair periods. Canterbury: North-westerlie, strong inland, and reaching the coast at times, bul decreasing during the dayi variable heavy showers i| the Alps later, and main!) fair elsewhere, but somg showers; cool.
