Manners 4th in Japan
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter— Copyright) FUKUOKA. The Munich Olympic champion, F. Shorter (United States), won the Fukuoka international marathon yesterday for the fourth successive year. His time was 2hr llmin 31.2 sec. E. Lesse (East Germany), runner-up in this year’s European championship, again finished second, in 2hr 12min 20.4 sec. He was followed by P. Paivarinta (Finland), 2hr 13min 9sec, T. S. Manners (New Zealand), G. Stewart (Britain) and A. Usami (Japan).
