Govt in Rothmans
The investment corporation of Papua New Guinea has acquired, for an undisclosed sum, a 26 per cent interest in two Rothmans of Pall Mall (Australia) Ltd, companies. The corporation’s equity interests in the companies, Rothmans of Pall Mall (P.N.G.) Pty, Ltd, and Highland Tobacco Pty, Ltd, brings to 24 the number of major overseas firms now operating in Papua New Guinea which are partly owned by the Government.
