Complaint to Ombudsman
The Ombudsman (Sir Guy Powles) will be asked to intervene to prevent the construction of a high tension power. line through Prebbleton.
The Lincoln-Prebbleton Action Committee, which represents people opposed to the route of the line, has decided to go to the Ombudsman.
The committee will meet next week to draw up its submissions to Sir Guy. It has also asked the Electricity Department to supply it with details of the cost of an alternative route. The committee’s stand is in response to the decision of the Minister of Electricity (Mr Bailey) that the route devised by the department should be the one to go ahead.
