Avon M.P. in hospital
Mrs M. D. Batchelor, the member of Parliament for Avon, is in Burwood Hospital after undergoing an operation on a leg.
Mrs Batchelor was admitted to hospital on Tuesday to have a wart removed. She was reported in a satisfactory condition last evening. The leg had been troubling Mrs Batchelor for two or three months. She wore sticking plaster over the wart for several weeks, and said about 10 days ago that she would enter hospital.
