A scientist is required to assist with the research programme being done on vegetable crops for processing at the newly established horticultural research station. DUTIES: Research on vegetable crops grown for processing. Hie principal lines of work are the testing of new crop cultivars, the mechanisation of all aspects of the production and harvesting of these crops and agronomic research on aspects such as irrigation, the use of growth regulators, seed sowing and seed and plant density studies. QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: Honours degree in Horticulture, Agricultural Science, Science or higher. Experience in field experimentation with vegetable crops and the production of vegetable crops for processing an advantage.
