PUBLIC NOTICE SUBMISSIONS ON THE GOVERNMENT’S CONSULTATIVE DOCUMENT “A NEW DIRECTION FOR NEW ZEALAND TRANSPORT” THE GOVERNMENT recently presented to Parliament a consultative document entitled “A New Direction for New Zealand Transport.” This document contains certain proposals relating to changes in the regulation and organisation of transport in New Zealand. These proposals do not represent firm Government policy since the views expressed in the document are open to alteration in the light of consultation, of submissions made to a Committee of Government Members of Parliament which has been set up to examine the proposals, and of the views expressed in the House of Representatives, and of consideration by the Government. Those wishing to make submissions to the •Government Committee which will consider this paper should give an indication of their desire to do so to the Office of the Minister of Transport, Parliament Buildings, Wellington, by November 30, 1974.
