Family benefit rise forecast
(N.Z. Press Association) NAPIER, Nov. 15.
The family benefit would be raised from $3 to $4 a week, said the president of the Family Rights Association (Dr H. P. Dunn, of Auckland) to a meeting of the Napier Catholic Men’s Club last evening. “The Government is going to put the family benefit up in December or January,” he said.
Asked from where he got his information, Dr Dunn said: “You could call it an enlightened leak.”
