Two women gassed
Two women suffered carbon monoxide poisoning after travelling in the boot of a car in Christchurch last evening.
The women, both aged under 20, climbed in the boot of a car after a second car broke down in Riccarton. The car went to Roberts Road, Hornby. When it arrived the boot was opened and both women were lying were taken by ambulance to Christchurch Hospital shortly after midnight. One woman, who was more seriously gassed, was later transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital. The names of the women and condition reports were not available early this morning.
