Some wait for holidays
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 15. Workers who used up this year’s two-week holiday entitlement before November 8 are in the hard luck category as far as their annual leave is concerned. Others who have had only part of their two weeks, or none at all, can plan for an extra week off work. The Annual Holidays Amendment Act. which became law on November 8, increases from two to three weeks the minimum holi-
day entitlement of all workers. This means that all persons entitled to two weeks holiday this year, and who have not taken them, or had taken only part before November 8, can plan for an extra week away from work. There is no provision, however, for persons entitled to two weeks holiday and who took it before November 8 to get the extra week. They will have to wait until next yea** to benefit under the act.
