Primate sells gifts
(N.Z.P.A -Reuter—Copyright) CANTERBURY (England), November 15, The retiring Archbishop of Canterbury (Dr Michael Ramsey) today auctioned many household goods and gifts collected on his travels as Primate of the Church of England for the last 13 years. There were dinner and teasets, finger bowls, furniture, African carved elephants, and a monkevskin cloak—hundreds of items from the Archbishop’s two official palaces in Canterbury and London which he will be unable to fit into his new home at the vicarage in Cuddesdon, Oxford.
